Willy Rizzo (Naples, 1928). Considered the artist of the Dolce Vita, he was already a photographer's assistant in the world of cinema at the age of 16. For the French newspaper Point de Vue he made his first reportage documenting the Nuremberg Trials (1946-1947). He also works as a film artist taking care of the first Cannes Film Festival. In 1947 he went to New York for a job commissioned by the English agency Blockstar, so he had the opportunity to move to Los Angels where he could photograph movie stars up close. In 1949 he created the famous photo of Winston Churchill in Paris for the cover of Paris Match together with a reportage on Maria Callas. In 1959 he became artistic director of Marie Clare and collaborated with important fashion magazines such as Vogue. In 1968 he moved to Rome and became a design icon by creating unique pieces of furniture and opening numerous shops in the main capitals of the world. In the Seventies he returned to Paris where he continued to work as a photographer.
