Pietro Anderloni (Brescia, 12 October 1785 – Cabiate, 13 October 1849) was an Italian engraver and painter. Born in Sant'Eufemia, now a district of Brescia, in 1785, son of Giovan Battista and Anna Maria Rocco. A pupil of his older brother Faustino, Pietro Anderloni remained undecided for a long time between painting and engraving. When he finally opted for engraving techniques, in 1804 he became a student in Milan at the Brera school of engraving directed by Giuseppe Longhi and worked there for nine years. In 1831, upon the death of his teacher, he took over the direction of the school. His particular ability in analyzing every detail of the pictorial model and reproducing it faithfully was universally recognized. He was particularly skilled in reproducing the paintings of Titian and Raphael. He was a member of several Academies and was president of the Engravers' Academy.
