Wilhelm Johann Bader (Darmstadt 1855 - 1920) was a German painter, engraver and lithographer, as well as an art teacher.
Bader created idealized and realistic portraits, as well as landscape depictions with human figures such as oil paintings, watercolors, and drawings. In particular, the influences of Arnold Böcklin and Anselm Feuerbach are visible in his early works.
From 1873 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin and from 1875 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Ludwig von Löfftz, Wilhelm von Diez, Otto Seitz and Andreas Müller.
