Maria Baldan, born in Dolo in 1930, was an Italian artist. He obtained a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the guidance of Giuseppe Santomaso. From the beginning of her career, Maria Baldan has dedicated herself to the study of nature, which has inspired her works, developing into various spatialist influences, achieving a personal synthesis of informal art and Venetian tradition. In the 60s and 70s she dedicated herself to research in the field of graphics and etchings, which brought her much satisfaction and international recognition. In 1965 he participated in the Rome Quadrennial. In the 1980s he began to dedicate himself to the study of plastic compositions, using metals and mirrored surfaces applied to painted panels. Since 1988, she has been part of the board of directors of the Moderata Fonte Association, together with other Venetian artists. Baldan died in Dolo on 18 October 2019.
