Maurice Barilone, a non-conformist designer, has long cultivated a passion for furniture-sculptures. He believes that an object is not a simple dead thing, but contains a part of magic that it is his job to resurrect. For him, a piece of furniture represents first and foremost a sculpture, in which balances respond to imbalances. For over 30 years he has collaborated with Roche Bobois and created the famous Fleur de Fer collection, which was launched in 1991 and has sold over 22,000 pieces.
