Gianantonio Battistella (Treviso, 1957), who works as a professional photographer with a particular interest in architecture and industry in the Treviso area; but who is also involved in teaching photography. Battistella mainly dedicates himself to research and studies on the representation of architecture and landscape. He was a professor of History and Technique of Photography at the Degree Course in Multimedia Sciences and Technologies at the University of Udine. He has participated in many national and international contemporary photography exhibitions where he has particularly characterized himself in experimentation with photographic language and in the representation of the territory. Battistella illustrated many volumes, including Cannaregio (1987), Walled cities of the Veneto (1988), Rural architecture documents of the Treviso area (1989), Objectives on the salt road (2000), Museum gestures ( 2002). His images are preserved in important national and international public collections and are present in numerous contemporary photography catalogues.
