After the experience of the "Laboratorio Nuova Ceramica" (LNCR), which ended in 1922, Ferruccio Palazzi founded the ceramic factory "Società Anonima Ceramiche Palazzi" in 1924 in the spaces of Cesare Antonio Civelli's former "Fiamma", in the Palazzo dei Piceni in Piazza San Salvatore in Lauro 5 in Rome.
The management of the factory, which also includes a ceramics school, an exhibition gallery and a furniture and interior design studio, is entrusted to Roberto Rosati. Collaborating with them, more or less occasionally, are Duilio Cambellotti, Giulio Rufa, Mary Pandolfi de Rinaldis, Enea Antonelli and Virgilio Retrosi.
In the summer of the same year, the factory participated in the National Exhibition of Modern Ceramics in Pesaro, presenting works by Rufa, Cambellotti and Rosati.
In the same place of San Salvatore in Lauro, a school for amateur and professional ceramists was established, with the teaching of Giulio Rufa, Roberto Rosati and Ferruccio Palazzi himself.
In 1923, the factory presented some ceramics by Renato Bassanelli, Umberto Bottazzi, Eolo and Augusto Tidei at the First Roman Exhibition of Villa Borghese in Rome.
In addition to the artistic production coming from the kilns of San Salvatore in Lauro, everyday objects and works inspired by Etruscan, Renaissance and Islamic ceramics are also made.
In 1932, the book "Ceramic Technology" was published by the press, edited by Palazzi and his collaborators.
