Sandro Chia (Florence, 1946). He trained at the Art Institute of Florence, studying painting, drawing, fresco technique and sculpture. He travels to India, Turkey, Europe and in 1970 he settles in Rome, where he holds his first solo show. After creating bronze sculptures, he dedicated himself to conceptual art, influenced by Klein's monochromes. Exponent of the Italian Transavantgarde, together with Cucchi, Paladino and Clemente. His works mainly have the human figure as their subject.
