Aldo Cibic, architect and designer, was born in Schio (Vicenza) in 1955. After moving to Milan in 1977 to work with Ettore Sottsass, he became his partner in 1980. In 1981 he participated in the birth of the Memphis collection, of which he is one of the designers and founders. In 1989 he decided to start his professional career by founding the Cibic&Partners studio, also dedicating himself to research in schools. Currently, its main activities take place in Milan, with Cibic&Partners, in the field of architecture and large interiors, and in Vicenza, with CibicWorkshop, focusing on design and research activity, which has led to the emergence of new design. Furthermore, he teaches at the Domus Academy, the Degree Course in Industrial Design of the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Milan and the Degree Course in Industrial Design of the Faculty of Design of the University Institute of Architecture of Venice. Aldo Cibic is also Honorary Professor at Tongji University in Shanghai.
