Carlo Corsi was born in Nice in 1879 into a wealthy and cultured family. From an early age he showed a great propensity towards art.

Carlo Corsi was born in Nice in 1879 into a wealthy and cultured family. From an early age he showed a great propensity towards art.
He was not immediately initiated into artistic studies, for this reason, Corsi abandoned his engineering studies to dedicate himself to painting, enrolling at the Turin Academy from 1902 to 1906. Corsi participated in the exhibitions of the Venice Biennale in 1912, in the exhibitions in Munich, San Francisco and in the four editions of the Roman Secession. During the First World War it had to stop. Despite his very personal independence and intellectual vivacity, Corsi suffered the overshadowing of fame and fortune due to his loyalty to Secessionism.
However, Corsi never stopped and continued to work.
Carlo Corsi died in August 1966 and is buried in the Certosa di Bologna.
