Giangiacomo Dal Forno (1909 - 1989) graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and from 1930 to 1940 he exhibited at the Milanese trade unions, at the Lombardy interregional and Roman four-yearly exhibitions, obtaining the L'ambrosiano Prize for Drawing in 1933 , the Gold Medal at the Milan Triennale in 1934 and, in 1938, the Medardo Rosso Prize and the Fumagalli Prize of the Brera Academy. At the VII Triennale of Milan in 1940, he frescoed a 100 m2 wall, painting "Female Work", a composition of around three hundred life-size figures, together with Carlo Carrà and Mario Sironi, for which he obtained a gold medal from Triennial. Giangiacomo Dal Forno Biography

Giangiacomo Dal Forno (1909 - 1989) graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and from 1930 to 1940 he exhibited at the Milanese trade unions, at the Lombardy interregional and Roman four-yearly exhibitions, obtaining the L'ambrosiano Prize for Drawing in 1933 , the Gold Medal at the Milan Triennale in 1934 and, in 1938, the Medardo Rosso Prize and the Fumagalli Prize of the Brera Academy. At the VII Triennale of Milan in 1940, he frescoed a 100 m2 wall, painting "Female Work", a composition of around three hundred life-size figures, together with Carlo Carrà and Mario Sironi, for which he obtained a gold medal from Triennial. In 1940 he obtained a professorship at the Castello Superior School of Art, to then become a figure teacher at the Art School in 1968 and finally taught at the Brera Academy. In 1942 he was invited to the XXIII Venice Biennale. Founding member of the Gruppo Milanese dei Dieci, he then participated in the Movimento della Rotonda and the Gruppo del Gatto Nero. There were many awards dedicated to him: the Gold Medal of the President of the Republic at the Cadorago Lario Competition, the nomination as Official Knight of Merit of the Repubblica for his activity, the Gold Plaque from the Province of Milan for artistic merit and the Gold Medal from the Municipality of Milan.
