F.lli Campana Biography
The Campana brothers (1983 - ) Humberto, born in 1953 and Fernando, born in 1961, are a duo of designers born in Brotas, a city about 250 km from Sao Paulo, from a cultured and branchée bourgeois family, a father who was an agricultural engineer and a mother who was a high school teacher. Together they founded Estudio Campana, which became famous for furniture design and the creation of intriguing objects, such as the Vermelha and Favela chairs and grew to curate projects in Interior Design, Architecture, landscape architecture, scenography, fashion, as well as various partnerships artistic and much more. Estudio Campana's work incorporates the idea of transformation, reinvention and the integration of craftsmanship into mass production. Their research is always aimed at making common materials precious, not only through their creative abilities and the potential of design but also thanks to their South American culture, Brazilian in particular, which brings with it: colours, mixtures, creative chaos and triumph of solutions simple.
