Giordano Falzoni Biography
Giordano Falzoni (1925 - 1998) was a painter, writer, actor linked to the Roman artistic movement Gruppo 63. Born in Zagreb in 1925, he was a multifaceted character, active in Paris from the end of the 1940s, he was among the animators of the " Compagnie de l'Art Brut", becoming friends with one of its founders, André Breton. It was he who presented his first solo exhibition in 1951 at the Roman gallery L'Obelisco and who organized his first Parisian solo show at the Galerie de l'Etoile Scelée in 1954. Once back in Italy he took part in the affair of Gruppo 63, of which they were among the others Umberto Eco, Renato Barilli, Luciano Anceschi, Edoardo Sanguineti and Alfredo Giuliani. As a writer he made his debut with Teatro da camera, Milan, Rizzoli, 1965, which was followed by various experiments, both in the creative and critical fields published in magazines such as "Il Verri" and "Il Caffè". A collection of his writings is now in Works: literature, theatre, cinema, art, society. He appeared as an actor in many films including Damiano Damiani's The Warning, Dino Risi's Dagobert and Federico Fellini's The Voice of the Moon.
