Giovanni Gaetano Galeazzi was born in Milan on 22 June 1870 and studied at the Brera Academy with Cesare Tallone and Giuseppe Bertini. He dedicated much of his work to post-impressionist landscapes but created high-quality portraits. Galeazzi spent a lot of time in Liguria, especially in Camogli. In 1924 he participated in the exhibition of contemporary female portraits at Villa Reale in Monza, presenting the work "Portrait of Mrs. Fernanda Patrucco". He died in 1938.
