Léon Krier (Luxembourg, 7 April 1946) is a Luxembourg architect and urban planner. He is considered one of the most influential architects of neo-urbanism and new classical architecture. The best-known project is that for the village of Poundbury, in Dorset (England), for the Prince of Wales. Krier had great influence on the New Urbanism movement, especially in the United States. Léon Krier is married to the artist Rita Wolff and currently lives in Provence. The older brother is architect Rob Krier. The Guide Plan for the redevelopment and recovery intervention of the vast area of ​​San Donato (fiat-fondiaria) within the Novoli district in the Municipality of Florence was designed and drawn up by Léon Krier.
