Salvatore Magazzini Biography
Salvatore Magazzini was born on 28 February 1955 in Pistoia, where he lives and works. He has been exhibiting since 1969 and is present in important foreign collections: Switzerland, France, the United States, Germany, Japan and Morocco, Colombia. Since 1994 he has been present at the "ARTE FIERA" in Bologna (in 1995 with a personal room). In 1998 he exhibited anthology at the PALAZZO COMUNALE of Pistoia. RAI dedicated four reports on his work to the artist. Among the major critics who have written about him we mention: Pier Carlo Santini, Mauro Innocenti, Alberico Sala, Edoardo Bianchini, Tommaso Paloscia, Omar Calabrese , Mario Luzi, Riccardo Soldani, Antonio Del Guercio. The sculptural activity (started in 1969) is also of considerable interest, especially that in the youthful phase of which the work "L'Uomo di Monteriggioni" is part, reviewed by Mario Luzi and placed in the atrium of the Quarrata Town Hall, Pistoia.
