Alessandro Mandruzzato Biography
Alessandro Mandruzzato, born in 1970, is a master glassmaker from Murano whose family has been working in the glass processing sector for four generations. Since the age of 15, he has dedicated his time to developing and modifying innovative glassmaking techniques to create unique yet traditional objects. In 2000, he became the owner of the family business and, thanks to his personal studies, he experimented with new grinding and engraving techniques. His craftsmanship in the delicate process of cold engraving on Murano glass, combined with the talent of renowned architects, has enabled the creation of unique collaborations. Alessandro Mandruzzato has exhibited his works in important galleries and museums in cities such as Venice, Milan, Paris, Moscow, Dubai and Beijing, and collaborates with world-famous artists and designers. In 2011, his sculpture "Diva" was exhibited in the halls of the prestigious Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, making him the first Italian of the new millennium to be exhibited in that museum. In 2012, he was awarded the "Globo Tricolore" award as a representative of Italian excellence in the world, with the patronage of the Council of Ministers. In the same year, Alessandro Mandruzzato registered his name as an international registered trademark.
