André-Aleth Masson is the pseudonym of André Masson, born on 20 December 1919 in Saint-Servan (now the Saint-Malo district) and died in October 2009 in Saint-Malo. He was a French painter, sculptor, ceramist and engraver, also dedicating himself to writing.
Masson attended the Ecole régionale des beaux-arts in Rennes and later the Ecole des beaux-arts in Paris. At the same time he trained at the ceramics school of Fontcarrade, near Montpellier in 1947.
His wife Denise is also an artist with whom he often collaborates. He exhibited in 1952 and 1980 at the Salon of Decorative Artists in Paris and at the Galerie Mai and Galerie Guillemain in Paris.
