Bruno Mathsson (Värnamo, 13 January 1907 – Värnamo, 17 August 1988) was a Swedish designer and architect. With Carl Malmsten and Gunnar Asplund he is considered one of the main pioneers of modern Swedish furniture design. Son of functionalism, it stood out for its abandonment of geometric rigor in favor of soft lines and ergonomics. In architecture he gave impetus to a more harmonious approach to nature and conceived a living module with three sides in insulating glass which was very successful and ahead of its time.
