Mario Mazzer Biography
Mario Mazzer was born in 1950 in Conegliano and obtained a degree in architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1978. In 1979, he obtained a diploma as an industrial designer from the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan. During the 70s, he trained by collaborating with important masters of Italian design and in 1980 he founded Mario Mazzer Architects in Conegliano Veneto.
Throughout his career, Mazzer has participated as a speaker at various conventions and conferences. In 1996, in New York, he was awarded an honorable mention at the ID Annual Design Review. Its products have been selected several times in the ADI Design Index and in the International Design Yearbook. In 2001, his monograph "Thinking about Things: Mario Mazzer designer" was published. In the same year, it was included in "The Design Encyclopedia" at Moma in New York.
Mazzer has received numerous awards, including the "Good Design Award", the "Red Dot Award" and the "IF Product Design Award". Today, the studio includes architects, engineers and interior designers, with thirty years of professional experience. Mario Mazzer Architects applies his experience to a wide range of projects in Italy and abroad, including residential and commercial buildings, hotels and resorts, sports buildings and train stations. Furthermore, the studio deals with restoration and renovation, urban planning and redevelopment.
In the field of design, Mazzer has collaborated and continues to collaborate with important companies such as Acerbis, Bonaldo, Cappellini, Flou, Magis, Minotti Cucine, Poliform, Rossi di Albizzate, Ycami and Zanotta.
