Nani Giacomo (Porto Ercole, 1701 - Naples, 1770) Giacomo Nani was an Italian painter of still lifes. During his artistic career he collaborated with Paolo De Matteis, for whom he created some figures in several of his compositions. He was also inspired by the painting of Jean Baptiste Dubisson and his works were requested by many nobles of the time. Numerous paintings by the artist were owned by Charles of Bourbon and many of his works constituted the picture gallery of the Royal Casino of Carditello. He also worked as a decorator in the Capodimonte porcelain factory, with depictions of animals and still lifes. His works are preserved in Neapolitan museums and in various Italian and foreign private collections.
