Negretti Jacopo known as Palma the Younger (Venice, 1548 - 1628) Jacopo Negretti known as Palma the Younger was immediately initiated into studies in the footsteps of his father, Palma the Elder. The artist's talents were appreciated by the Duke of Urbino Guidobaldo II della Rovere, who sent him to Rome for four years as a guest of the ambassador Traiano Mario. During his artistic career he was influenced by Raphael and Tintoretto and made various copies of Titian, with whom he collaborated in the creation of the painting "La Pietà". He trained in the period of the Venetian school and Roman mannerism and was one of the most active artists of the late 16th century.
