Noll Alexandre (Reims, 1890 - Fontenay aux Roses, 1970) Alexandre Noll was a French designer, who allowed the production of furniture to become a true art form. Noll's approach to the creation of furniture and sculptures was explained by the originality with which he conceived the relationship between human beings and nature. The designer used natural materials and biomorphic shapes, revealing the existence of an organic continuity in all objects, both functional and aesthetic. Noll turned down a teaching position at the Ecole Boule, a famous furniture-making school in Paris, saying he preferred to keep his method a secret.
