Louis Paolozzi is a renowned French furniture designer of Italian origins. He is best known for his exceptional seating designs, which include chairs, armchairs, sofas and furnishing accessories. Already from the early days of his career, his creations recall the style of Italian design of the same period. He collaborated with several publishing houses, including René Godfried, Monopoly and especially Zol (previously known as Zolads père et fils), for which he created numerous models between the 1950s and early 1970s. He has also participated in numerous exhibitions at the Salon des Artsistes Décorateurs (SAD). In 1968 he was awarded the prestigious René Gabriel prize, the most coveted award in the field of furniture design, for his Rondo collection, published by Zoladz. This award constitutes the corresponding equivalent of the famous Italian Compasso d'Oro.
