Luigi Rinciotti Biography

Luigi Rincicotti was born on 13 August 1941 in Fano. In 1959 he decided to move to Venice, where he had the opportunity to associate with various prominent artists, including De Chirico, Saetti, Guidi and Carena. His artistic career includes over two hundred and fifty personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad and has earned more than fifty national and international awards, just to name a few: Milan 1961, International Triennale (with 1st overall prize); Venice 1966, XXXIII International Art Biennale, Venice pavilion (with 1st Prize); Barcelona 1971, III Biennale Internacional de Porte en Las Bellas Artes (with 1st overall prize); he also represented Italy at the IV Bienal Internacional del deporte en Las Bellas Artes in Madrid. Other important solo exhibitions include the 4th edition of the Festival Mediterraneo dei Due Mari in Altomante (Cosenza) in 1991, a solo exhibition at Ca' dei Carraresi with 150 works displayed throughout the palace in 1997, a solo exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Carpediem Galleries in 1997, a solo exhibition at the Singapore Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2008, a solo exhibition at the Barchessa of Villa Giustinian Morosini in Mirano VE in 2009 and a solo exhibition at Palazzo Papafava on the occasion of the Venice Biennale in 2010.
