Luigi Rossi was born in Lugano in 1853.

Luigi Rossi was born in Lugano in 1853.
In Milan he studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts between 1864 and 1867. After completing his education, he moved to Paris where he worked as a book illustrator from 1885 to 1889. After returning to Milan, he traveled to various Italian destinations such as Posillipo in 1890 and Sicily in 1891. In 1895 he participated in the first Venice Biennale and subsequently took care of the reorganization of the drawing schools of the Canton of Ticino in the 1990s. In the period between 1902 and 1912, he worked as a teacher and educator in Milan. In the following years, he exhibited his works in Italy, England and Switzerland. Luigi Rossi died in 1923.
