Ruggeri Piero (Turin, 1930 - Avigliana, 2009) Piero Ruggeri was an Italian artist. He graduated from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in 1956 and participated in the Venice Biennale in the same year. Ruggeri's work approached the artistic trends of the Informal and later underwent the influences of abstract expressionism. He participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadrennial. He also won national and international awards such as the Morgan's and Paint Prize, Solomon Guggenheim in New York, Marzotto, San Paolo in Brazil, Fiorino, Lissone. He held many personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
