Antonio Sanfilippo (1923-1980) Attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, student of Felice Carena. In 1947 he adhered to formalism and signed, with his friends Pietro Consagra, Ugo Attardi, Piero Dorazio, Mino Guerrini, Achille Perilli, Giulio Turcato and with Carla Accardi, who he married in 1949, the manifesto of the Forma 1 Group, giving life to the group of the same name avant-garde of Marxist inspiration. Antonio Sanfilippo (1923-1980) Attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, student of Felice Carena. In 1947 he adhered to formalism and signed, with his friends Pietro Consagra, Ugo Attardi, Piero Dorazio, Mino Guerrini, Achille Perilli, Giulio Turcato and with Carla Accardi, who he married in 1949, the manifesto of the Forma 1 Group, giving life to the group of the same name avant-garde of Marxist inspiration. He exhibited at the XXIV Venice Biennale in 1948, he also participated in the 1954 and 1964 editions and, with a personal room, in the 1966 one. His works are present in the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome.
