Perry King and Santiago Miranda founded the King & Miranda Design studio in 1975. They operate in various fields of design and collaborate with companies in Italy and abroad, also creating projects in Europe, the United States and Japan. From the beginning, their work has been characterized by the belief that design represents a relevant cultural expression and that each object transmits signals, stimuli and emotions, determining new ways of living and working. Hence the need to approach professional activity with pragmatism and attention to technology, in full respect of the meanings that design can take on as an integral part of a broader cultural context. Their projects have been published and awarded on numerous occasions and exhibited in both personal and collective exhibitions. Both have carried out teaching and research activities, participating in conferences and serving on juries all over the world. Perry King was awarded the title of RDI Royal Designer for Industry in London, while Santiago Miranda received the Premio Nacional de Diseño Español.
