Sassi Pietro (Alessandria, 1834 - Rome, 1905) Pietro Sassi was an Italian painter, specialized in the representation of views of urban and rural landscapes. He traveled to many European cities such as Geneva, Savoy, Paris, fundamental stages for learning landscape painting techniques. In those years he developed a new painting technique, as can be seen in works such as "Lake Mont Cenis", "View of Lake Geneva near Vivey". He moved first to Milan and then to Rome, where he began an intense exhibition activity, in which he gradually replaced the Northern views with views of the city of Rome.
