Federico Schianchi, born in Modena on 6 October 1858 and died in Rome on 28 December 1918, was an Italian painter specializing in the use of oils and watercolors to represent Rome and the Italian countryside.
His training began in 1878 at the Modenese Institute of Fine Arts, where he studied under the guidance of Antonio Simonazzi, who taught design, and the painter Ferdinando Manzini, who taught ornaments.
In 1887 he moved to Rome, where he worked for many years, dedicating himself to painting and enriching his technique under the influence of the lively artistic environment of the Italian capital.
Some of his works are "Views of the Lazio town" (1894), "View of the Colosseum", "Rome at Castel Sant'Angelo".
