Henry Gunther Schlevog (1904 - 1984) was a Czech master glassmaker. Owner of the Jablonec company Curt Schlevogt, together with his daughter Ingrid (1930 - lives in Paris), presented the collection of handcrafted glass called “Ingrid” at the Spring Fair in Leipzig in 1934. Schlevogt engages the best craftsmen and its glass collection has grown to become a huge success. In 1939, with the start of the Second World War, his success was tragically interrupted. In 1945 Schlevogt had to close his company and in April 1948 he was expelled from Czechoslovakia. The Ingrid collection has been continuously supplemented with new models, of which the most artistically impressive come from the second half of the 1930s, when the company collaborated with important artists. Among the local designers, it was mainly Artur Pleva, professor at the Jabloneck School of Art and Industry. In 1945, when the Curt Schlevogt company was expropriated, this collection numbered more than 1,400 different objects.
