Saverio Seassaro (1917 - 2016) attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa, then dedicating himself to painting and decoration. From 1946 he studied in Nervi in the Gropallo Tower, where he opened the Seassaro Art Studio. Landscape painter, faithful to the precise depiction of the subject, he mainly dedicated himself to marine views (Nervi, but also Bogliasco, Boccadasse, Camogli), as well as to the depiction of the streets of old Genoa. He actively participates in collective, regional and national exhibitions. His works can be found in Italy and abroad in private collections. One of his award-winning paintings is owned by the Provincial Tourism Board of Genoa. The painting “Campoligure” awarded a gold medal in 1967 is exhibited in the Chamber of Deputies in Rome. Saverio Seassaro was awarded the Knight's Cross for artistic merit by the President of the Republic in 1973.
