Lucio Tafuri Biography
Lucio Tafuri was born in Salerno in 1941. His personal exhibitions include those in Genoa (1968), Milan (Ars Italica 1970), New York (Art Gallery 1971), Salsomaggiore (Galleria Tiglio 1973), Genoa (1975), New York (Borghi Gallery 1980), Messina (Galleria Conca d'oro 1990). Among the collective exhibitions Bergamo (1967), S. Margherita Ligure (1967), Paris (1969), Rome (1980), Paris (1990), Milan (Ars Italica 1996-1998). Awards and recognitions: member of the "Arts-Sciences-Lettres" Academy of Paris. Academician of merit of the "I 500" Academy (Rome). Gold medal and related academic title awarded by the "Accademia di S. Marco". Member of the Paestum Academy. Gold medal at the "First national painting competition" sponsored by "Amici del Quadrato". His works appear in important private collections and public bodies.
