He attended Kokugakuin University, where he studied ancient Japanese literature. In 1946 he decided to dedicate himself to wood sculpture following the teachings of Tominaga Chodo. In the 1960s he exhibited extensively in Europe. In 1961 he participated in the International Architecture and Art Competition in Copenhagen. In Italy he exhibits at the Galleria del Cavallino in Venice and in the Galleria del Naviglio.
