Vallot, Virgilio, architect, (Venice 1801 - Venice 1982), SIUSA Born in Venice, on 8 February 1901, Virgilio Vallot studied at the Higher School of Architecture in Venice where he graduated in 1928. His professional activity began in the same university institute as assistant to the chair of Architectural Composition held by the architect Guido Cirilli. From 1922 he was a trainee and then a collaborator in the studio of the engineer Giovanni Sicher with whom he created buildings on the Lido of Venice: Villa Asta (1922), a hotel in via Dardanelli (1923) and a building for art exhibitions (1924- 25). In addition to architecture, he dedicates himself to the design of furnishing components and displays for fairs and exhibitions, often working in groups. With the architect Angelo Scattolin (whose sister Mariaberta Vallot would marry in 1933) he founded the Gruppo Architetti de "L'Alveare": their best-known work was the furnishing of the shop-atelier for the photographer Giacomelli in Venice (1928- 1930).
