Vinicio Vianello Biography
Vinicio Vianello (Venice, 1923 - Zelarino-VE 1999), a multifaceted artist-designer who adhered to the spatialist movement while remaining transversal to the official nature of the artistic movement, represents one of the most complex and significant figures of the post-World War II period. Constantly turned to free experimentation, among the main purposes of his singular investigation, the study and manipulation of different materials emerges, from a technical and linguistic point of view. Engraving, painting, ceramics, glass, design, lighting, but also interventions in architecture up to projects on alternative energy sources, constitute the fields of research of this contemporary protagonist who exhibits several times at the Venice Biennale, at the Triennale Milan and obtained, among other recognitions, the prestigious La Rinascente Compasso d'Oro Award in 1957.
