Born in Crespiatica in the Tormo area, he was a student of Francesco Messina at the Brera Academy and a friend of Ettore Archinti and Fausto Locatelli. Born in Crespiatica in the Tormo area, he was a student of Francesco Messina at the Brera Academy and a friend of Ettore Archinti and Fausto Locatelli. After the end of the Second World War he moved to Milan; in 1967 he returned to Lodi, setting up his studio in the chapel of Palazzo Barni. With a shy personality, he refused an invitation to exhibit at the XXIII Venice Biennale in 1942, and in 1964 the professorship at the Brera art school. His best-known work is the monument to the Resistance in Lodi, inaugurated in 1967. He died in Lodi in 1998.
