Reza Yahyaei is a painter, ceramist and sculptor born in Iran in 1948.
In his works, "Woman" and "Cube" we find two of the central motifs of his artistic imagination: "The cube brings man back to logic and rationality. It gathers all the powers of matter and is its foundation and seed. Therefore , I assimilate the cubes to women's bodies, which are the wombs of life".
After several years of artistic activity in his hometown, Yahyaei moved to Florence in 1973. He initially studied at Michelangelo's art school, then specialized in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. At the same university he obtained a specialist degree in ceramics. Subsequently, he completed courses in marble sculpture and carving at the Carrara Academy and a PhD at the Sorbonne.
He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and the Spinelli Art School. In Iran he actively collaborated in the renovation programs of the antiquities department of the Tehran Museum.
In 1974, Yahyaei exhibited his sculptures and paintings individually for the first time at the Galleria Sofia in Florence. Since then, he has exhibited his works in France, Italy, the United States, Canada and Iran. In 2006, an exclusive book was published featuring a selection of works created by this artist between 1960 and 2004
