The Zerbetto company was founded in 1947, with the aim of producing and building adequate lighting systems. His research focuses mainly on the field of fluorescent lamps, a system developed in the United States in 1936, but just introduced in Italy in '47. In the 70s, Zerbetto adopted a company philosophy centered on functional research, the careful selection of materials, carefully studied design and constant lighting engineering study. Thanks to this philosophy, the company won the prestigious European Golden Mercury award in 1970. In the 1990s, the focus of Zerbetto's research shifted to light itself, how to use it and its power and influence in everyday life. The experiences gained in this sector aim at forming a culture of light that goes beyond company production. In the future, the Zerbetto company will increasingly commit itself to asserting the importance of quality, design and collaboration with its customers.
