A couple of Spanish white carved marble capitals Southern Spain or Syria, 10th century
These two marble capitals are decorated Corinthian style, with two acanthus leaves crowns culminating in a string of pearls which connects two little roses. At the centre of the rim, a particular plant reminds the flower of the classic abacuses. A similar object is part of Al-Sabah's collection, in Kuwait.
