A polychrome maiolica coffee pot with pear-shaped ribbed body and zoomorphic pourer, decorated with a manganese brown 'a paesini' motif
Comparative literature: G. Biscontini Ugolini “Ceramiche pesaresi dal XVIII al XX secolo”, Casalecchio di Reno 1986, p. 251 and 257.
A similar decorative typology is present on a dish marked "Pesaro/1760" on the back and attributed to the Fattori-Bartolucci workshop (G. Biscontini Ugolini "Ceramiche pesaresi dal XVIII al XX secolo", Casalecchio di Reno 1986, p. 251 and 257), but the same decoration, with minimal variations, can also be found in Faenza maiolica objects by the Ferniani workshop datable to the second half of the century.
