Artist's engraved signature on the front. The work Discus was commissioned by Alfa Romeo in 1964 to Lucio Fontana and produced in 130 copies to be delivered, in the form of a trophy, to the best drivers of the car manufacturer as a prize for the victories achieved that year. Each work has a round plate (missing in this case) bearing the name of the winning driver. A non-dedicated copy is presented at the Fratelli Cozzi Museum in Legnano.
