It is a sculpture to which clothes can be hung. It is a unique piece made of ebonized and natural solid walnut wood made between 1953 and 1956 for the home of an official in Bologna; later sold and relocated to a villa in Abano Terme. More than half of the meager archival material concerning the architect Pierluigi Giordani is made up of photos depicting this coat hanger, demonstrating how much he cared about it.
Technique: Natural walnut wood, ebonized walnut wood and lacquered brass.
