Small pocket Quran written in gold, copied by a woman, Fatemeh Bent Al Ostad Yahya Halmi within its silver case, dated 1299 (1882 AD)
An extremely fine Arabic manuscript on paper composed of 124 folios and 3 fly leaves. Folio 45 X 27 mm, gilded text on single colomn of 43 lines to the page. Surah headings written in red over golden ground and golden section marks. Double finely illuminated opening page. Cut leather binding and silver box decorated with vegetal motifs.
