Small Qajar printed Quran with fine handmade illumination signed by Ahmad Ebn Mohammad Tabrizi and dated 1266 (1850 AD) Persia, 19th century
A litographic copy on paper, composed of 150 folios with 21 lines to the page separated by roundels. Surah headings in red over golden ground within lobed cartouches with arabesque finials. Persian notes in the margins, double finely illuminated opening page. Papier maché binding decorated with flower over red ground.
