Signed “Rauschenberg” in pencil on the books’s justification; furthermore stamp numbered '233' on the justification from the total edition of 250. Book with a text by Dore Ashton, translated into Italian by Franco De Poli. Printed by Smeets Offset, Weer. Published by Editioni Macorini, Milan. Sheet dimensions of the facsimile prints: each 36.8 29.3 cm, sheet-sized. In cloth-covered clamshell box: 48 x 47 x 6.5 cm. The 34 facsimiles show works on paper that Robert Rauschenberg created 1959-60. They illustrate the 34 songs of the 1st part of the ‘Divine Comedy’ by the great Italian poet Dante Aleghieri and are in the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
