Female sculpture. Hard wood with clear patina, beads and pigments. A lack and signs of use.
Small delicious female sculpture of ancestor, or perhaps fertility doll, characterized by an elaborate hairstyle, scarifications on the refined face particularly worn and, unfortunately from the lack of the left breast. We do not know whether this lack is due to an accidental break or deliberately created to reproduce a specific physical trait of a loved one, but it remains a valuable testimony of the aesthetic and artistic value of Ewe sculpture.
