Lot 442
Glass sculpture on wrought iron support. Signature and date, 1991. Coming from the heirs of Anzolo Fuga.
The artist takes up a subject dear to him, a measure often used for his stained glass windows. The theme is not a novelty, there are thematic variations in which in other cases is also inserted a vase. The window shown here is significant of a work that the artist produced without any mediation whatsoever for a relative.
The leaves of a succulent plant, thinning thinning pointing upwards. At the ends of the tips, oval flowers are formed by a white opaline glass streaked by large concentric murrines fused together. The colors used are red, green and blue. Three birds and a butterfly are inserted in the composition. The artist tries to bring out as much as possible the idea of flowers as if they were fully blown vases. All plates are "embossed". The stained glass window has a wrought iron display case, which contains it. The display case has been designed specifically to hold the work. The glass is made of glazed furnace obtained in Murano.
